BDS (University of Birmingham, 2010) GDC No 192122 After qualifying, Emma moved to Ipswich for a postgraduate training year and developed a deep affinity for Suffolk. Since then, she has pursued a varied career, providing private and NHS dental services, primarily in East Suffolk. For several years, Emma worked with the Community Dental Service, supporting anxious patients and those with additional needs in schools, prisons, and dental clinics. Through this work, she completed a clinical fellowship in Minor Oral Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and applied these surgical skills while providing inhalation and intravenous sedation, ultimately managing the sedation service for CDS East Suffolk.
Emma enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, including restoring implants, and prides herself on treating patients holistically. She believes it is important to collaborate with patients to meet their individual needs and create tailored management plans, whether simple or complex. Outside of the dental surgery, Emma works with the General Dental Council on their Fitness to Practice Committee, ensuring dental professionals possess the appropriate skills, knowledge, character, and health to practise safely and effectively.
Beyond dentistry, Emma has three young children. Most days, she tries to carve out quiet time for yoga and reading. She also enjoys playing the violin and, when possible, performs with the Trianon Music Group, a semi-professional symphony orchestra and choir. In any remaining spare time, Emma enjoys dancing, travelling, and photography.
